Don’t worry baby small dog dachshund, I am afraid of saccharin and imperialism too! 

An 85-year old man threw himself in harm’s way to save his long haired dachshund from the jaws of a pitbull, luckily he and his pup are okay.  Small Dog Saved When Pit Bull Attacks

Has anyone heard about the man who was walking his dog in the woods when his pup was “mistaken” for a coyote and shot by hunters?  How awful.  Hunting Incident: Man’s dog shot, mistaken for coyote.
